Sociable Kidz®  is a social skills group for kids from ages 4 to 12 taught by classroom teachers. Our mission is to take practical daily techniques we use in our classrooms and use them in our Sociable Kidz® sessions. As teachers we are constantly working on improving children's self-esteem. We focus daily on problem solving strategies as well as teaching kids how to make friends, how to make eye-contact, how to share, etc.  Social skills are necessary in order for children as well as adults to be successful in society. We will work closely with the children and their families to ensure that the skills being taught are being applied. 

We will provide hands-on activities as well as games with a lot of role playing to build and improve your child's self-esteem and self-expression. The  groups will focus on social isolation, teasing, name calling, bullying, healthy friendship choices and so on through the use of coping mechanisms as well as a lot of role playing.  We will listen to your concerns as the parents and cater our curriculum to meet your needs.

LEARN ABOUT:

INTENSIVE CONVERSATIONAL SKILLS; FRIENDSHIP SKILLS; BULLYING; TEASING; SHARING; TURN-TAKING AND SO ON, THROUGH ARTS & CRAFTS; INDOOR & OUTDOOR GAMES; BOARD GAMES

IN A NON-COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT. CLASSES TAUGHT BY OUR TRAINED SK TEACHERS.WITHIN THE 3 HOURS CLASSES INCLUDE OUR SOCIABLE KIDZ CLASS; BOARD GAME CLASS; EXPRESSIVE ART CLASS & TABLE TENNIS CLASS. 

Through fun and games we will role-play different social situations to practice social skills. We will take everyday "school" situations and bring them to life. For example, we will go outside and pretend one child is the last one picked on the team. We will teach the kids what to say or do if he or she is the last one picked. By meeting with the children everyday, we will be able to get to know them and train them to use their social skills appropriately.

Sign up for our new LUNCH BUNCH CLASS. We will have lunch with your child (send a bag lunch for your child) and we will practice school cafeteria skills as well as role-play conversations with your child while eating lunch.

SIGN UP BY MAY 15 FOR ALL 6 WEEKS FOR BOTH MORNING AND AFTERNOON SESSIONS AND YOU WILL GET THE LUNCH BUNCH FOR FREE (THAT IS A SAVINGS OF $1015) AS WELL AS A 15% DISCOUNT (THAT IS $913.50).

Sociable Kidz®
  Fun With Legos®   
For Girls and Boys

Our new SK class will be held on Saturdays!!!!

We will teach the basic social skills through the art of play with Legos®:

*conversations

*teamwork

*eye-contact

*proper questions

*joining a group

*negotiating skills

*sharing

The children will learn how to build different structures through imaginative play with detailed guidelines. The children will learn responsibility by participating in our set-up and take down of all the supplies used in each class session.

Sociable Kidz® hosted our 1st annual Special Needs Kidz Fair
on June 5, 2011 at the Radisson Hotel in New Rochelle, NY.
We raised over $1200 for the Tourette's Syndrome (Hudson Valley Chapter).

Our 2nd Special Needs Kidz Fair was Saturday December 10th, 2011. We raised money for CHADD for Attention Deficit Hyper-Activity Disorder.
